The TGG team is still decompressing from the largest gathering of Oracle Hyperion Experts on the planet, and what better place to gather than New Orleans, Louisiana! We managed to stay focused on business even though we were surrounded by great food and music. The Kscope13 Conference focused on Design/Data Modeling–OLTP, OLAP, DW Operations and Maintenance (performance, tuning, upgrading). Numerous Hyperion experts made presentations on new developments that will certainly impact our clients, and it’s all good.

Back in Toronto, the TGG staff gathered in one of the Corporate Boxes at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival for a soulful performance by the legendary Bettye Lavette, whose career has taken off in the last few years as younger fans discover this pioneer of Soul & Blues. She is 70 years old and was mostly unknown in America until 2000, when a French record company searched the Atlantic tape vaults and came up with the long-thought-lost tapes of a 1972 recording and licensed the tracks for release in France which created a renewed interest in Bettye, and showed that she was still in excellent voice.
