Statement of Direction – Hyperion Planning:Offline Planning

READ THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT OF DIRECTION: Hyperion Planning: Offline Planning Statement of Direction (Doc ID 2520717.1)

This document provides an overview of the strategic plans and future direction for the Offline Planning feature of Oracle Hyperion Planning.

Executive Overview

Hyperion Planning: Offline Planning feature is Smart View Excel Add-in install that allows Hyperion Planning users to take their forms offline and work with them while disconnected from the server. Smart View is a tool that allows you to pull Hyperion Planning data web forms into Excel. Once a form is in Excel, you can essentially perform all the same functions that you can in Hyperion Planning web. With Offline Planning installed, within Smart View, the user can take their set of forms offline and work with them without any internet/network connection and then sync back their changes into the Hyperion Planning application when they are reconnected.

Oracle’s Product Strategy

The terminal release of the Offline Planning Add-in is 11.1.2.4. There is no plan to include downloads of Offline Planning installation files in the next major release of Enterprise Performance Management System, release 11.2.

Oracle will continue to support and maintain Offline Planning as specified in the Applications Lifetime Support Policy for on-premises Oracle Hyperion Planning.
