Peter Sidgwick, TGG President, serves as the primary contact for privacy issues related to TGG’s operations and privacy matters. All project managers and “Team Leads” are expected to become familiar with and support and oversee privacy compliance. Other individuals within TGG may be delegated to act on direction from Peter Sidgwick and to act as the Privacy Policy Manager.

TGG is responsible for information in its possession or control including information that has been transferred to a third party for processing. All persons and organizations collecting information on TGG’s behalf are expected to adhere to privacy principles and TGG’s Privacy Policy.

Collection of personal information

TGG will identify the purposes for which personal information is collected and specifies the identified purposes for which the personal information is collected. TGG limits the amount and type of personal information collected to that which is necessary for the identified purpose.

Personal information is collected about individuals including client employees. The collection of personal information is for legitimate business purposes and TGG uses reasonable efforts to ensure that individuals understand how their personal information will be used, and will obtain consent as required for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.

TGG will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required or authorized by law.

TGG endeavors to ensure that any personal information in its possession is as accurate, current and complete as necessary for the intended purpose and endeavors to protect personal information against such risks as loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification or destruction.

TGG will retain personal information only as long as it is necessary for the identified purpose, or as required by law. In certain circumstances, TGG may collect and use personal information without the knowledge or consent of the individual. Where obliged or permitted to disclose information without consent, TGG will disclose only the information that is required.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

TGG upholds the reasonable right of access and review of personal information. A request can be made by completing and submitting a Request for Access to Personal Information form. TGG provides individuals access to their personal information subject to limited and specific exceptions.

TGG collects personal information from contractors for business purposes. The term, “Contractor” includes individuals “contracted” by TGG who perform a service for or in relation to or in connection with TGG as an apprentice, volunteer, participant or student or under a contract or an agency relationship with TGG.

TGG collects information from external stakeholders for business purposes. For the protection of client property and facilities, in the course of conducting business, TGG may monitor the access to and use of client property and facilities.

In the course of conducting business, TGG may monitor the access to and use of its property and facilities. TGG does not monitor voice mail or incoming telephone calls. In some instances, TGG may supplement this general policy notice with more specific notice as appropriate.

TGG investigates all complaints concerning compliance with its Privacy policies and legislation. In the event of a complaint, and with the consent of Peter Sidgwick and the individual making the complaint, mediation of the complaint will be conducted with a view to early and amicable resolution.
